Nestling in gentle hills between two of Tuscany's most beautiful towns, San Gimignano and Certaldo, Fattorie Santo Pietro is an oasis of peace set in varied, unspoilt countryside on the ancient Via Francigena pilgrim route.
Ancient dwellings that once belonged to noble Tuscan families have been carefully restored in keeping with the architectural style of rural Tuscany. They form a small, quiet cluster of buildings 6 km from San Gimignano's famous towers.
In the 300-hectare property there are dozens of hectares of vineyards. These provide the precious fruit for making Vernaccia - which has been produced in this area since the 13th century - and Chianti dei Colli Senesi.
The vines are accompanied by silvery olive trees. In the winter these yield up their precious gold nectar, an extra virgin olive oil with a full, fruity taste.
The apartments provide hospitality for visitors from all over the world, who return year after year to savour the authentic spirit of Tuscany.
